From structural repairs including loose joints and broken drawer runners, to the replacement of broken cabinet panes, Simon can help repair your old furniture to its former glory.
Simon can strip back old, damaged varnishes or finishes ready to be re-polished, waxed or varnished. Small areas such as stains, burns, ring marks can often be treated without the need to strip the whole area. Decorative painted finishes, including gilding can also be repaired and colour matched seamlessly.
Whether to repair a burn, a bubbled surface or replacing a missing marquetry pattern, we can match wood veneers from all timber species from period stock or new. We can also repair and replace all types of inlay and stringing.

I had unfortunately broken a French dining room chair which was one of a set of six. I contacted Simon and although it was a relevantly small job he reacted immediately visiting my home and taking the chair away for repair. Two weeks later Simon returned with the chair repaired and fully polished to a very high standard. The cost was very reasonable.
